When a member corrects their details, the change comes to the Changes tab on the Members Portal page instead of being written straight to the family. You decide what goes in, field by field.

This is how it works when contact changes are set to Office reviews first. On Save right away most changes land immediately, but a new sign-in email or mobile, and a new yahrtzeit, still arrive here.

The List

Each row gives the family, what the change is about, how many fields it touches and when it was sent. Opening one replaces the list with the change itself.

Reviewing One Change

Every field is shown as what you have now and what the member sent, and each is approved on its own. Take the new phone number and leave the spelling of the name, if that is the right answer.

One change open for review: the family and when it was sent, what the member asked for, their note, and Cancel, Previous, Next, Reject and Approve along the bottom.
A change open for review.
You pressWhat happens
ApproveThe fields you kept are written to the family. Anything you didn't keep is left as it was
RejectNothing is written. If you have the option turned on, you can email the member the reason
EditCorrect what the member typed before approving it — a misspelled street, a name in the wrong case

Prev and Next move through the queue without going back to the list.

When Someone Changed It First

If a field was changed in the office after the member sent their version, the screen says so rather than letting one quietly overwrite the other. You can still approve it — it just isn't done by accident.

Yahrtzeits

A yahrtzeit a member adds always comes for review, because it sets up a person and the reminders that follow. Approving one opens the yahrtzeit setup, where you confirm the person who passed away, the date, and who should be reminded.

The member can say who in the family should get the reminders, and anyone already set to receive them is shown as such.

After You Decide

  • Approved changes show in the portal the next time the member looks.
  • A rejected change disappears from their screen; with a reason, they get your note.
  • Everything is recorded under Activity.
  • The sidebar number and the dashboard card clear once nothing is waiting.
A member cannot merge families, delete anyone, or change what they have given. The worst a bad change can do is put wrong details in front of you for approval.
