The Members Portal lets the families you work with sign in and handle their own details: check what the office has on file, correct it, look back over what they have given, pay a bill, manage a scheduled payment, and fill in your forms.

Members see it as “My Account”. That is the wording on the page and in the emails and texts they receive. “Members Portal” is the name for the office: the settings, the sidebar and the notices you get.
A member's home screen: a greeting with the family name, and cards for Your family, Donation history, Bills to pay, Scheduled payments and Forms.
What a member sees after signing in.

How Members Sign In

There are no accounts and no passwords. A member types the email address or mobile number you have on file, and a one-time code is sent to it. The code signs them in.

PointDetail
Who can sign inThe head of the family or the spouse, using their own primary email or mobile. It has to be unique in your database
Which familiesEvery family, or only the family categories you choose. Categories can also be blocked
Everyone elseAnyone whose details don't match can send a request through the page, which reaches you under Access requests
The address/portal on your organization's address, and a pop-up from a button on your own website

What Members Can Do

ScreenWhat happens there
Your familyNames, contact details, children, anniversary and yahrtzeits. Changes are sent to you, or saved straight away — your choice
Donation historyWhat the family has given, by year, with a total
Bills to payWhat is owed, paid by card in the portal
Scheduled paymentsA standing payment's card and amount, and a declined payment put right
FormsThe forms you choose to show, filled in with their details already in place
Every screen is optional. Donation history, bills and forms are each switched on separately, so a portal can be as small as “check your details” — see Settings.

What Stays With the Office

Members never reach your system itself. They see what you choose to show, and what they send comes to you:

  • Changes to names, contact details and family members can wait for your approval, field by field.
  • A new sign-in email or mobile, and a new yahrtzeit, always wait for the office — even when changes are otherwise saved straight away.
  • Payments post immediately, as any card payment does.
  • Everything a member does is recorded under Activity.
The Members Portal is a module, and it is off until it is turned on for your organization. Reach out to tech support to have it added to your account.

Next: Settings covers every choice on the setup screen, and Day to Day covers the work that arrives once members start using it.
