Matching Payments Made by Someone Else

Hello CMS Cloud Support,
I have a question regarding payment matching in CMS Cloud.
If one person pays a bill or invoice that belongs to another person, what is the recommended way to record and match that payment in the system?
For example, if a parent, child, spouse, or friend makes a payment on behalf of someone else, how should the payment be entered so that:
  • The payment is correctly credited to the outstanding bill.
  • The payment record accurately reflects who actually made the payment.
  • Reporting and donor records remain accurate.
Could you please advise on the best practice for handling these situations in CMS Cloud?
