At times, a person makes a donation in honor of someone else and requests that you sent that person a notification letter that a donation was made to your organization in his honor.
When entering a payment, click the NOTIFY button to open window where you can enter information to notify a third party of the donation made.
Fill in the following information.
Select the Family to notify. If the letter should be address to him or her only, click the icon and choose the name.
Select a letter. Letters need to be set up before under Settings > Transactions Letters.
Info entered in the Note field can automatically show up in the letter when the letter has that field in it.
When the letter is emailed it is automatically marked as Sent. If you are printing this letter, be sure to manually mark the Sent check box so that you can keep track of which letters were sent and which were not.
